Leave a Gift in your Will

Leaving a Gift in your Will can help us continue to put children, young people and families first on the Isle of Man.

At The Children’s Centre we put children, young people and families first and so we understand that when the time comes for you to make a Will, you would of course put your family and loved ones first too.
But perhaps you would be kind enough to remember the local charity, making a difference to 1000 children’s lives each week, by leaving The Children’s Centre a Gift in your Will.

Why Wills are important

By choosing to make a Will you are ensuring that your possessions and property are distributed in a way that you truly want and to those you care about.
A gift you can give now to those closest to you is the knowledge and security that after you have gone your wishes are being carried out.

You can make a difference

Every gift in every Will makes a difference however large or small. Here’s one example of what a previous gift in a Will was able to achieve
In 2008 The Children’s Centre was lucky enough to receive a gift in a Will which enabled us to realise our vision of a truly integrated children’s centre and begin building work for the extension at our Woodbourne Road site.
The extension was opened in October 2009 and will remain a lasting reminder of one person’s generosity towards their community.

If you would like to tell us . . .

Leaving a gift in your Will is an amazing and very personal gift and it is entirely up to you whether you choose to tell us about it.
However, telling us about your gift enables us to thank you and keep you updated on the valuable work we do and what your gift will help us to continue to do.
We will only correspond with you with your permission, and fully respect your decision should you wish not to.
If you wish to include us in your Will then you can find the wording you need here and our glossary of terms will help breakdown any legal jargon..

Make a Will

If you have not already made one, then our ‘Make a Will’ initiative provides a great opportunity to do so, benefiting not only you and your loved ones but also future generations of children on the Isle of Man. Each year, Dougherty Quinn Advocates give their time free of charge, to write Wills for local people in exchange for a donation to The Children’s Centre.
