First Children's Week goes down a treat!

Last week, the Isle of Man saw its first Children’s Week. Similar days or week are held in 54 countries across the world, but 2010 was a first for the Isle of Man. Lots of different events took place across the Island from 17th – 23rd July; from BBQs to concerts, to BMX racing and cake sales.

Bake a Sweet Treat for Charity

The Children’s Centre is coordinating the largest simultaneous cake sale seen on the Island with their a new fundraising initiative called ‘Cakes for Kids’ taking place on Tuesday 20th July during the Island’s first ever Children’s Week.

Dare to Live a Great Success

On Saturday 22nd May 99 brave people abseiled down the side of the Royal Bank House in Douglas to raise money for The Children’s Centre. The event which was coordinated by The Children’s Centre and supported by local radio station 3FM and Royal Bank of Scotland International has so far raised a staggering £9500 with another £4,500 pledged!

Local company OMS take the title for the second time at this annual event which raised £6500.

Out2Play Keeps Boredom at Bay

The school holidays will soon be upon us again, but fear not The Children’s Centre Out2Play team will be hitting the road to keep boredom at bay. This fantastic FREE open access play scheme will be at 14 locations in the Easter Holidays between Tuesday 6th April and Friday 16th April.
